This sensitive portrait is of the artist's father, Poppa Carl painted from life in the winter of 2003 by Connecticut Impressionist painter Leif Nilsson. In the winter months Leif schedules sitters for head studies. His father Carl Nilsson is always a willing model. This oil painting on linen canvas mounted on board measures 14 by 11 inches unframed and is mounted here in a simple and elegant black baguette style wooden frame hand made by the artist.
