This oil painting of the artist's backyard garden measures
40 inches by 30 inches unframed and 45 inches by 35 inches framed
in a handmade cassetta style finished corner metal leafed frame.
Connecticut Impressionist artist Leif Nilsson painted this canvas
in his garden in the spring of 1998. The stone steps in the path
lead the viewer past the potted geranium and behind the patch
of blue bearded iris to the wrought iron table and chairs. The
pink dogwood tree up on the terraced hill is in full bloom. Other
plants in the garden are greenhouse grown foxgloves and perennial
poppies. The frame was made by Leif Nilsson in his Chester Studio.
