Join us for a book talk and book-signing with local author
Timothy E Haut "A Deep River Year"
with live musical interludes.

Timothy Haut is the minister of the First Congregational Church in Deep River and has been for the last 43 years.
He is a gardener extraordinaire, lover of all creatures great and small and a keeper of secrets. Timothy is the author of countless poems, essays and small storybooks. He brings to life living in a small new England town. A husband, father, and grandfather, he has captured the passing of time and the small ordinary and sacred moments that make up our lives.
Timothy lives in a sweet bungalow in Deep River with his wife, Phyllis, his beloved dog Jake and his two crazy cats, Mina and Harry. The fox, who has remained nameless, lives under the shed.

What happens in a plain, ordinary year? Miracles of grace, the rhythms of nature, and surprises always appearing at the edge of our sight. And the simple tears and joy that transform a small corner of New England I to a place of delight wonder, and understanding. This is the story of one calendar year, told in reflection and poems, which illuminate the human experience as a journey of the heart.
