The Gibbons is a blues/folk/psychedlic rock band from the CT River Valley area. Started in Lyme, CT by guitarists and vocalists (and
old friends) Ryan Milke and Alex Kratzert, the band was originally a duo touring the CT shoreline. It became a four-piece band when
joined by Evan Barret on bass, and Jon Morse on drums. Ryan and Alex have written dozens of original songs ranging from blues
rockers to Americana storytellers, with some ethereal and funky jams in the mix. The band plays a range of styles and genres with an
emphasis on improvisation and exploration. Every show is different, each take is new - they are an emerging act with an aptitude for
high energy, as well as an appreciation for bright, mellow melodies and spacious grooves. Come hang!
